Sharavan Maas also called as Sawan Month; it is the Hindu calendar (The most ancient calendar of the world) month, has used in India since ancient times. According to Gregorian calendar this month comes in between July to August months.
Lord Shiva is the one of the prime deity among the trinity and also called as The Destroyer. Worship of the Shiva to get a significant grace and peaceful life.
According to puranas, Sawan month is very dear to lord Shiva and devotees of Shiva. Shiva worship in the month of Shravan has a special significance, one who gets the special grace of Lord Shiva, is worshiped Shiva by ritual method of worshiping in this month.
In this holy month of lord shiva, the worship should be beginning with anointed him from milk, water and flowers of Aak (Calotropis) & Datura (Dhatura). And Shiva devotees should also worshiped him by leaves of bael tree (Bilva-Patra) with full dedication.

You can recite or chant any hymn of Shiva or “Ohm Namah Shivay” After anointed or worship of lord Shiva by water and Bilwa-Patra, because Lord Shiva is the Omkar and shapeless; he is the supreme power of universe.
